Elizabeth Olsen has joined “The Avengers” star Tom Hiddleston in the Hank Williams biopic “I Saw the Light,” and will play his wife, Audrey Mae. Production is scheduled to begin in October in Louisiana. Veteran producer Marc Abraham will direct from his own script, which is based on the 1994 book “Hank Williams: The Biography” by Colin Escott, George Merritt and William MacEwen.
Charlie Hunnam is director Guy Ritchie’s choice to play King Arthur in the Warner Bros.-Village Roadshow medieval tentpole. Elizabeth Olsen is the frontrunner for the female lead (presumably Guinevere). Idris Elba is attached to play a Merlin-esque figure who trains and mentors Arthur. Joby Harold wrote the script and is producing with Akiva Goldsman and Tory Tunnell. Plot details are under wraps with the film set to open on July 22, 2016. (x)
